Owing to the annual city festival the Braderie de Lille (*)
it is strongly adviced that you book your accommodation as soon as possible
To help you decide where to look for your accommodation, here you have a few tips.
- Please note that the University Campus where the venue is located, is actually in the city of Villeneuve d'Ascq which you can easily reach by metro (20 minutes ride, line 1, Station: Cité Scientifique). Metro starts at 05:17 and finishes at 00:30 and there is a train every few minutes. There is also a night bus service afterwards, but at a much lower frequency.
- However, we recommend you to book in Lille, somewhere close to the city centre near the main train stations (Lille Flandres and Lille Europe).
- As a reference, try to stay in the following metro intervals: (i) Line 1 (yellow one) [République-Gare Lille Flandres] and (ii) Line 2 (red one) [St-Maurice-Pellevoisin : Mairie de Lille]. Please note that both are close intervals.
- Alternatively, you can book accommodation in the beautiful Old Town, which is walking distance from all train stations and metro (Stops: Rihour, Gare Lille Flandres).
- Check carefully, If you find something in Solferino avenue, unless you want to party with undergraduates all night long...
- There is also accommodation directly on Campus (see below).
